The Ramlatch Multi-Pin Connector is a 54 Channel (166 contact), leverage actuated connecting device that consists of two main housings. The RAMX026 is the lever latching part of the system and is meant to be mounted on a cable. The RAMX025 is the stationary part of the system and is meant to be mounted on panel or other device.

The Ramlatch is an industry standard in the Pro Touring, Television, Live Stage, and Pro Audio markets. It is also used in other applications where a large number of connections are required to be connected and disconnected on a frequent basis.



These connectors are the standard large, multi-pin connectors used in Ramtech audio cable assemblies and snakes. Our multi-pin connector is compatible with the AMP Quick Latch Part #202967-1.



This road-tried-and-tested connector has been re-engineered and modified into the strongest and most reliable large, multi-pin connector available for pro-touring applications. Modifications include a new body composed of indestructible ABS plastic, a 12 gauge chromed steel handle, aluminum cams, 0.062 diameter pins, and glass filled nylon pin blocks. The Ramlatch failure rate is incredibly low at 0.003%.

There are three standard RAMLATCH® RAMX025 fan-outs. The FAN-025-BK is a RAMX025 connector mounted on an aircraft grade anodized aluminum box with a HALEX® compression clamp strain relief. There are 6ft 6 inch leads (13ft overall spread) protruding from the rear of the box terminated into male NEUTRIX® NC3-MX XLRs. As with all RAMLATCH® part numbers the last two letters indicate the color of the RAMLATCH®. The FAN-025-FL-BK Part number indicates a flanged housing for mounting in a console dog house and the FAN-025-PNL-BK indicates a Black RAMX025 mounted on a three space standard 19” Rack Panel. As with all Ramtech products it is completely hand assembled in the U.S.A. by assemblers that have been assembling Ramtech products for years.

The XLR fan-out is constructed by first sliding Tech Flex™ over each individually jacketed lead. This Tech Flex™ is the highest quality available and is both heat and chemical resistant. This grade is indicated by a white thread interwoven throughout the braiding.

The Tech Flex™ on each lead is then heat shrunk to the jacketed pair at the “breakout point” (point where the overall jacket ends) and at the connector (XLR) end with a channel marker.

The Breakout point is then bound with the Proprietary Ramtech Hangman’s Noose. We take electrical friction tape and spin it with a drill to make a gummy string. This gummy string is wound tightly around the breakout point of the cable for approximately 4”” onto the cable jacket and 4” out on to the Tech Flex™ leads. Then the entire area is double heat shrunk with heavy duty shrink. On the XLR end the channel markers are heat shrunk with crystal clear shrink to preserve them indefinitely.

These cables have a very long use life when made this way. We know of many cables that have been on tours for 20 years or more that have been built using this method and still work and perform today.

STGBX-48-RK Series Stagebox features the first 48 channels with female XLR's with ground lift switches and channels 49-54 have female and male XLR's used for either input or return. These XLRs can be replaced with 4ea CPC sub inputs if desired. There are two RAMX025 RAMTECH® multi-pin outputs for main and monitor. This is a 10 rack space fully enclosed box. The rear enclosure can be fitted with a XLR fan-out for digital engine applications.

STGBX-54-XP Main stage input panel consisting of 1-48 female XLR's with dual ground lift switches, 49-54 with male and female XLR's. 4 CPC sub-inputs terminate to 12 male XLR color coded leads each that can be patched in any configuration desired. There are four compartments that are secured with thumb latches down the right side of the face plate for housing unused leads. RAMTECH Main Input Stage Boxes that have an incorporated Sub Stage Input System come standard with a modified version of the AMP CPC multi-pin connecter for the Sub Stage Boxes and cables multi-pin disconnect system.
